Joseph has been representing locally and nationally-owned banks, lending institutions, private lenders, small businesses, business owners and other individual clients for over three decades. As demonstrated by his vast litigation and expert witness experience, he is renowned in the industry as a pioneer and leading authority in the areas of real estate and business law.

Joseph is proud to be considered by his coworkers, clients and colleagues to be a true Western Mountain Man and is dedicated to preservation of the West. Fascinated with Western history, he is an active member of the Roundup Riders of the Rockies–a trail-riding organization dedicated to the perpetuation of Western Traditions associated with the relationship between the American Cowboy and his horse. The 3R's largest project each year is its annual, week-long horseback ride in the Colorado Rockies–a challenging experience emphasizing horsemanship and horsemastership in an environment of sportsmanship and camaraderie. As an all-around outdoor enthusiast, Joseph especially enjoys hiking, fishing, bow hunting, pheasant hunting, snowboarding, scuba diving, caving and dirt bike riding.  As a horse owner and lover, Joseph frequently enjoys Colorado from horseback. (This includes his part time job as the senior manure management engineer at his home barn!)

Joseph and his wife, Becky, were married in 1977. He and his wife are blessed parents to three (now grown) children and proud grandparents to six grandchildren. When he's not practicing law perched from the 31st floor of his spectacular mountain-view office suite, Joseph spends as much time as possible playing at home with family, friends, horses and his German Shepherd, Thor, in one of the most beautiful places in the world–Conifer, Colorado.
